We’re absolutely thrilled to share some truly exciting news! We’re pleased to announce that The Salvation Army Gungahlin has been chosen as the well-deserved recipient of the 2025 ISPT Community Kickstart Grant! They’ll be receiving a $10,000 grant to help them continue their incredibly important, community-enriching work.
The Salvation Army Australia has a deep commitment to offering hope where it’s needed most. Their mission is to share the love by caring for people and building healthy communities. As a charity, they provide holistic support, addressing the needs of the body, mind, and spirit for individuals and communities across Australia. In the Gungahlin community, they are passionately expanding their “Breaking Bread” Breakfast Club Project. This initiative provides free, nutritious breakfasts and weekly fruit deliveries to approximately 1,200 students across three schools, helping them start their school day well, feel supported, and build a sense of belonging.
The Community Kickstart Grant will now enable them to sustain their current service level, expand to at least two more schools in 2026, strengthen partnerships, and promote student well-being through consistent access to healthy meals, ensuring a lasting positive impact on the next generation.
A huge thank you to all the amazing community groups who applied for this grant. Your dedication to our community is truly inspiring and deeply appreciated!
